Laura Gaynor - Accounts Assistant

I joined Donington Park in January 2011 after relocating to Castle Donington from Malvern, Worcestershire. Being a motorsport fan it was the perfect position for me and I was delighted to be invited to become part of the Donington team as an Accounts Assistant.

What I love most about my job is that it is never boring, apart from managing the sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking and reconciliations I am always doing something different day to day and learning new things. Even though it is always number crunching I also get to be involved in the events we hold, which means I get that variety so I can also be found supervising the ticketing and staff, the set up and running of the ticket booths and reconciling tickets and the cash after the event.  I can always be found at my desk with my head down and surrounded by paperwork, but anything money related and I’m your lady!

In my spare time you will find me with my partner, drifting in his car or mine, trying to fix our old cars, working for Drift One at Oulton Park and Buxton Raceway once a month throughout the year which we absolutely love, enjoying music, friends, looking at cars but realising I don’t have enough room for anymore and buying more trainers and shoes than one person should need in their life time.

My favourite sandwich filling is tuna, stilton with red onion and it has to be toasted.

Katie Holmes - Office Junior

I started my apprenticeship as an Office Junior at Donington Park in July 2011.

My main tasks are to deal with incoming post, the ordering of stationary and office equipment, general office admin, including the inputting of invoices onto the purchase ledger and filing documents away appropriately.

Another of my main tasks is to produce event tickets and to log these onto a master spreadsheet. I am also heavily involved in pre–event preparation for example ensuring that tills are programmed correctly and the ticket booths are fully equipped.

My Favourite sandwich filling is Cheese and Cucumber.
