The Board

Please contact Vicki Brough if you have any direct enquiries for the board members.

Vicki Brough - Personal Assistant

I joined the Donington Park team in March 2011 as a Personal Assistant to the Managing Director, Business Manager, Estates and Facilities Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager.

I would say that no two working days are the same for me. Throughout the week we have various meetings that I attend to capture all information needed whether it be for the board, or an operations meeting that is about the future events here at the circuit.

During the race weekends you will usually find me helping out with the general ticket sales or assisting the track manager with the race circuit activities.

My favourite sandwich filling is Cheese and Beetroot.

Kevin Wheatcroft - Chairman

Along with my day-to-day responsibilities as Chairman of Donington Park Racing and continuing in the footsteps of my late father, one of my main interests is collecting and restoring WWII military vehicles. I am proud to say that The Wheatcroft Collection is the largest private collection of military vehicles from World War II in the world. One of our main projects currently is the restoration of the last remaining German E-boat from WWII, S-130 (www.s130.co.uk). In addition to the military vehicles, I naturally also have an interest in cars and along with the cars in the Grand Prix Collection I also have a passion for American muscle cars.

My favourite sandwich filling is prawn and salmon.

Christopher Tate - Managing Director

It is my privilege to be the Managing Director of such an iconic motorsports venue as Donington Park. Over the season of 2012, there have been many positive developments here at the Park, as the business of motorsports grows alongside a growing business in conferences, exhibitions and other non-motorised activities. Whilst there would be no point being here without my personal enthusiasm for racing of all types whether on 2 wheels or 4, for the motorsport industry and above all, for this great historic race track at Donington Park, what we all have to keep uppermost in mind, is that we are measured only by our success as a business and by the quality of the service we provide to every single customer.

Motorsport is a 7 day a week business and commitment is everything – we are fortunate to have such a dedicated team here, determined to do our best for the sport and for the clients who come to Donington Park, whether as spectators, museum visitors, hospitality guests, track day enthusiasts or as race teams, drivers and riders.

Our 2013 events calendar is full of real excitement and quality, and alongside the racing and concerts, plus all the regular test and track days, and the exciting return of the Honda Ron Haslam Race School to Donington, we are all working hard to deliver a quality experience for every visitor, to enjoy great sport and great days out. I hope you too will enjoy your visit to Donington Park!

Finally, and after my first year as MD here, eating perhaps too many sandwiches, the best one here in the two cafes, is still is the toasted ham and cheese – enjoy it!

Philip O’Connor – Finance Director

I have worked with the Wheatcroft Family for over 20 years now and it was working with Tom and Kevin that ignited my interest in Motorsport and in Historic Grand Prix cars. Helping Kevin to bring Donington Park back to life is a tremendous challenge and with the team we have now put together, we will continue to move Donington Park forward.

One of my ambitions is to visit all the Formula 1 Grand Prix circuits that are currently on the calendar. However, much to my ‘dismay’, Bernie Ecclestone keeps swapping and changing the venues!

My favourite sandwich filling is beef and horseradish.
