Motorsport Marshalling Taster Day

June 3rd - 4th

Without marshals, there wouldn’t be motor sport! From the pits and paddock to track-side and behind the scenes, marshals allow motor sport meetings to run smoothly. A marshals job is essential providing administrative functions and safety cover. It’s the closest you can get to the action without being sat in the driving seat!

Event

Marshalling is for anybody who is interested in and wants to be involved in motorsport. You don’t need any special skills or qualifications to start, just common sense and a reasonably developed sense of self-preservation.

As you become more involved you will be able to take advantage of training funded by the sport’s governing body – the Motor Sports Association – and run by individual motor clubs, Regional Associations or the clubs set up to cater specifically for marshals like the British Motorsport Marshals Club.

The British Motorsport Marshals Club is the main channel through which marshals get information about the hundreds of motorsport meetings held throughout Britain each year. Details of events are circulated to BMMC members through the Club’s regional magazines and by organising clubs who send volunteering forms detailing all their meetings directly to BMMC members before each new motor racing season begins.
