2016 Clough Taylor People’s Run cancelled
It is with regret that People’s Events and Donington Park must announce that the 2016 Clough Taylor People’s Run, scheduled for 22nd June, will not take place this year due to a rescheduling of the calendar by Donington Park.
Donington Park are offering those already entered a full refund of the entry fee paid. All those entered will be contacted with regard to receiving their refund.
In addition, as they will be losing a fundraising opportunity from their calendars, Donington Park will be making a donation to the three official charities of the Clough Taylor People’s Run; Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, Muscular Dystrophy UK and Street Child United.
Jim Cowan of event organisers People’s Events, said: “We are obviously very disappointed that the 2016 Clough Taylor People’s Run will not take place. Supporters of the event can be assured that along with the Clough and Taylor families, our partners and our charities, we are committed to staging the event again in 2017 and for many years after.”
Roger Lowe, Commercial Director at Donington Park commented: “It is a shame that a combination of circumstances have made it necessary for us to postpone the Clough Taylor People’s Run to next year. But given the effort we have all put in over the years, to say nothing of the magnificent fundraising of so many determined runners, we are pleased to be making a donation in 2016, and looking forward to a busy event here in 2017.”
