British Superbike stars set for Nottingham Trinity Square takeover tomorrow!
The stars of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship will take over the Trinity Square in Nottingham City Centre tomorrow afternoon (Thursday), as part of the build up to this weekend’s ‘Showdown’ opener at Donington Park (16-18 September).
Stars including Donington-local and championship leader Leon Haslam (Smalley) and his main title rival Shane ‘Shakey’ Byrne will be in attendance, as well as East Midlanders Richard Cooper (Nottingham), Shaun Winfield (Swadlincote), Taylor & Tarran Mackenzie (Ashby de la Zouch) and Superbike turned Sidecar ace Chris Walker (Nottingham).
Other riders set to appear include title contender Dan Linfoot, Americans James Rispoli (Ashby de la Zouch) and John Hopkins, as well as Lee Jackson and James Westmoreland.
The display at Nottingham’s Trinity Square also includes a number of race bikes that will compete at Donington this weekend, as well as the stunning Nissan GT-R Safety Car. Fans and shoppers will be able to meet the riders, get autographs and selfies and get close to the real race bikes. Tickets for the race event at Donington will also be available for sale at specially discounted rates.
