Busy weekend of action from 750 Motor Club coming up at Donington Park
A packed 23 race schedule will provide plenty of entertainment at Donington Park this weekend (30 September-1 October), courtesy of the 750 Motor Club.
Championships in action range from sports cars to saloons, with single seaters also on the bill, and a celebratory Porsche contest.
Saloon car races will come from the Tegiwa M3 Cup for modern BMW E46 M3 machines, which is also combined with the BMW 330 Challenge Series and the Mini Super Cup Series. The Tegiwa Civic Cup for Honda Civics from 1990 to 1993 will deliver a big grid, while further tin top thrills will come from the Renault Clio 182 Championship and the eclectic line-up of Hot Hatch Championship.
Single seater drama will come from The Formula Vee Championship, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2017, and the Monoposto Tiedeman Trophy, which will see anything from Formula Ford to Formula Three machinery on track.
Sports cars will compete in the RGB Championship, which caters for two-seater motorcycle engine powered machines, while huge grids of Mazda convertibles will do battle in the MX5 Cup, while the Locost Championship for Lotus Seven derived cars will provide close competition.
Meanwhile, on Saturday the Porsche 924 will be celebrated in the Great Club Autosport 924 Race, which commemorates the 25th anniversary of the first Porsche Drivers Association race for the 924 in 1992. Two of these races will be held with the second contest being a reverse grid format, which should promote some exciting racing.
On track action commences at 9.10 on both days, with racing concluding at close to 6pm. Tickets for the 750 Motor Club at Donington Park on 30 September – 1 October are available upon arrival at the circuit, priced at £17 for adults and free for children aged 13 and under.
