Date confirmed for 2016 Donington Park Half Marathon
The Donington Park Half Marathon will return on 13 November 2016, for a third successive running of what has become a very successful event.
Around 300 participants took part in this year’s run which not only included the half marathon, but a team baton relay and also a fun run, hopefully raising £5,000 for the Loughborough-based Living Without Abuse charity.
The event will again be open to runners of all abilities, with blind runners with guides and wheelchair users strongly encouraged to enter too. Entries start at £19 per runner.
Gina King, Head of Fundraising at Living Without Abuse commented: “We are delighted to be hosting another half marathon at Donington Park, after two very successful events in which we hoping to have raised over £10,000 for people who have suffered domestic abuse.
“We hope to see another strong entry of keen runners take on the great setting that is Donington Park, and we are very grateful to the team at Donington for allowing us to use the circuit again in 2016!”
Donington Park Sporting Director Bob Adams commented: “We are very pleased to be holding the Donington Park Half Marathon once more in 2016. We’ve really enjoyed working alongside the Living Without Abuse charity, and look forward to helping with fund raising efforts next year!”
