Donington Park confirms GAC as Official Logistics Partner
Donington Park is pleased to announce that the global shipping, logistics and marine services provider, GAC Group, has become the circuit’s official logistics partner.
GAC was established in 1956 and now, in its 60th anniversary year, employs over 9,000 people in more than 300 offices. GAC is already the official logistics partner to premier sports events including the Volvo Ocean Race, FIA World Rally Championship, FIA World Rallycross and are sponsors of the Team Raleigh GAC cycling team, as well as PGA golfers George Coetzee, Richard Sterne and Chris Wood, and rising talent Amy Boulden.
The GAC link with Donington Park means that their logo will appear on the front of over 250,000 printed race admission tickets, as well as on all the circuit’s booking correspondence for advanced ticket purchases. The company’s presence at Donington Park is then set to increase in future years with signage and logos across the estate and in prominent on-track positions.
Mike Millar, Sports and Events Manager at GAC commented: “Partnering with Donington Park fits GAC’s strategy perfectly. Donington is a venue that is revered across the world, and we look forward to working closely with the circuit team in the years ahead.”
Donington Park Commercial Director Roger Lowe commented: “We are very pleased to confirm this arrangement with GAC. That such a global brand has decided to enter into such a long-term partnership with us demonstrates how far we have come as a company in a short amount of time, and we are delighted to be working with them as we are two rapidly expanding businesses.”
