Month of motorcycling continues with NG Road Racing this weekend
The month of motorcycling at Donington Park steps up another gear this weekend (13-14 May), with two days of action from the NG Road Racing Club.
It is expected that there will be up to 20 races per day across the weekend, split into qualifiers and finals for each class, of which there are 20 competing during the event.
Championships in action range from production-based bikes seen in Formula 125, F400 two strokes and four strokes, solo machines such as the open 500cc, Powerbikes, Sound of Thunder and Streetstocks for road legal machines, and the always dramatic sidecars.
NG Road Racing also promotes the British National series for 125cc and 250cc Grand Prix machinery, and this is the only category running former Grand Prix bikes for a full championship title in the UK. Meanwhile new riders, some competing for the first time, will race in the Newcomers category, which features three classes.
Completing the racing line up this weekend is the 600cc Open, Mini Twins, Super Twins, Pre-Injection, Ducati Desmo Due, NG Supermono Cup, Formula Prostocks and the Two Stroke GP series.
Such is the level of competition in NG Road Racing, that a number of riders from the British Superbike support classes are expected to make wild card appearances at Donington this weekend.
Free practice begins at 9.15am on both days, with qualifying races commencing at 10.45am on Saturday and 10.15am on Sunday.
Tickets are available upon arrival at the circuit for £17 per day or £30 for the full weekend. For more information, click here.
