Popular running evenings to return to Donington Park this summer!
First opportunity to ‘Run in the Park’ this Wednesday
Donington Park will host four ‘Run in the Park’ events this summer, after popular demand from fans and fitness enthusiasts. The first event will take place this Wednesday (8 July) from 5.30 until 7pm, with further events on 15 July, 13 August and 26 August, with all profits going to charity.
The evenings allow people to run, jog or walk the popular Grand Prix circuit layout at their own pace, and to complete as many laps as they like in the time available, while taking in the surroundings of the world famous motorsport venue. Entrants are asked to pay a donation of £1, with all profits going to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Donington Park Managing Director Christopher Tate commented: “We are delighted to relaunch the Run in the Park evenings at Donington Park. We have been inundated with requests on our social media feeds in recent weeks, and it’s obvious that Donington Park is very much in demand for the running community, as well as motorsport competitors!
“These Run in the Park evenings allow fitness enthusiasts or fans of the circuit to get on track and take on the unique challenges of its famous corners at any pace they wish, and we look forward to welcoming hundreds of runners, joggers and walkers to the circuit this summer.”
Participants will need to enter the venue via the Melbourne Lane entrance and make their way to the Parc Fermé area in the paddock, to the left of the Paddock Suite, to sign on. Parking is available in the paddock.
