Redman and Parrish confirm returns for 2016 Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival
The Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival returns on 5-7 August 2016, and the event is already taking shape with the confirmation that motorcycling legends Jim Redman and Steve Parrish will again make appearances in 2016, with tickets going on sale today (Friday).
Both stars were present at this year’s successful event, and are already looking forward to next year’s racing.
Six-times World Champion and six-times TT winner Jim Redman commented: “I’m really looking forward to next year’s Classic Motorcycle Festival. It’s well organised with a special atmosphere – a fantastic three days of action both on and off the track!”
Parrish will again host a special evening of entertainment on the Saturday evening which attracted a strong turnout this year. Parrish’s acclaimed shows are renowned for being full of curious and intriguing stories, and the 2016 show should be no different! Parrish will again also take a strong interest in the on track activity, including commentary duties, and participation in the star parades.
Parrish commented: “I’ve really enjoyed my visits to the Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival and can’t wait to be back in 2016. I love the noise and variation of bikes on display with single cylinder bikes right up to six cylinders. Riding a two-stroke 500 down the Craner Curves is the ultimate experience, and for the spectators there is the unrivalled chance to actually get up close and personal with not just the bikes, but the stars too!”
Donington Park Sporting Director Bob Adams commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Jim and Steve back to the Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival for 2016. Both are legends of the sport and were a real hit with the fans back in August. We look forward to further developing the festival with many new ideas for next year’s event!”
Tickets for the Donington Classic Motorcycle Festival on 5-7 August 2016 are available priced from £12 from the official Donington Park website.
