World Superbike legend Carl Fogarty to be star guest of Donington round
Superbike legend and King of the Jungle, Carl Fogarty, will be supporting Donington Park’s preparations for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, and will be a major presence at the event itself on 27-29 May.
‘Foggy’ will be at the circuit on Sunday 22 May for the pre-event meet and greet session at the Donington Collections, where he will be on hand to speak with the fans and sign autographs, as well as being a star guest throughout the race weekend with multiple appearances.
Fogarty won the World Superbike championship on four occasions in the 1990s, becoming a national hero in the process and will thrill fans at Donington Park with an appearance at the Q&A session at the infield campsite on the Saturday evening at 6.30pm, where he will be interviewed by host Niall Mackenzie.
Fogarty will also meet Gold hospitality guests throughout the event with exclusive meet and greet sessions, as well as making appearances at the Paddock Show, which all ticket holders will be able to access.
Fogarty commented: “Donington is my favourite circuit in the UK by far and one of my favourites in the world. I enjoyed a lot of success Donington: winning my first world title there in 1988, the TT Formula 1 championship; winning the King of Donington in 1989; and then my first World Superbike win in 1992. And of course, there’s a corner named after me! So it’s going to be great going back for this year’s World Superbike round and I’ll be getting behind the Brits for more success, hopefully.”
General admission tickets for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park on 27-29 May are available in advance from £10 with free entry for children aged 13 and under.
