NOISE LIMITS in association with North West Leicestershire District Council

IMPORTANT NOTICE - QUIET USE/SILENCED DAY
TRACK DAYS & SILENCED GENERAL TESTS

Instructions to all track users

Maximum noise limits are set by the District Councils and are monitored by Donington Park Noise Control Officers and independently by the District Councils every day for the whole duration of the time that the circuit is in use. Failure to comply with the Noise Control Procedure at Donington Park will result in you having to leave the circuit immediately without refund.

For more information contact us.

  • Unsilenced vehicles are not permitted to operate on the track during days classfied as 'quiet' or 'road silenced'.
  • On arrival at the circuit you must report to, and signing-on with, the organisers of the track day where you will be briefed about noise control procedures.
  • Users of the track must display or wear any form of identification (e.g. numbers, bibs etc.) as stipulated from time to time by the Noise Control Officer.
  • All silencers must be operative and will be checked. They must be authorised by the Noise Control Officer by the fixing of a coloured/dated sticker onto your vehicle prior to you being permitted onto the track.
  • Noise testing is carried out at various positions around the track by a computerised noise monitoring system, which will sample and log your noise levels automatically. You will be automatically noise tested on every lap of the track.
  • If your vehicle exceeds the Noise Control Standard you will be black flagged from designated positions around the circuit. You must slow down, complete the lap in a safe manner, then pull off the track into the pit lane and drive into the paddock then report to the Pit Lane Marshall. The Pit Lane Marshall will advise you whether you will be allowed to re-test your vehicle or whether you are required to leave the circuit.
  • At any time the Noise Control Officer may, at his absolute discretion, require any vehicle to undergo and pass a static noise test as a pre-condition of its admission onto, or continued use of, the track.
  • Any attempt to evade the Noise Control Procedures will result in you being required to leave the circuit immediately without refund.
  • The Noise Control Officer's decision is final on all matters.
  • When using a vehicle in the paddock, please drive with consideration and do not
cause disturbance by persistently revving an engine.
