This weekend’s Vintage Motorsport Festival will feature a nostalgic on-track programme, with old-school machinery from racing’s pioneering earlier years at the heart of the show. Cars in action will range from pre-war Grand Prix and Le Mans cars to classically-modelled motors from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Many of the cars you’ll see in the East Midlands will be amongst the oldest still in competition. Large and powerful machines, many devoid of modern safety features like seat belts, will produce an eye-catching spectacle which offers a glimpse back to a pioneering era of motorsport, far removed from today’s contemporary scene.
