Tin tops and saloons primed for BRSCC battles at Donington Park

12 June 2023

A packed programme of club racing comes from the British Racing and Sports Car Club (BRSCC) this weekend (17-18 June) on the full Donington Park Grand Prix circuit.

There’s true variety to look forward to, with action ranging from short sprint style contests, right up to multiple-hour endurance contests.

VWs, Renaults, Mazdas and BMWs will contest the two BRSCC Evolution Trophy contests on Saturday, and there’s more sports car tussles to look forward to courtesy of the Audi TT Cup and BMW Compact Cup.

In addition, one of the longest running tin top categories, the MG Metro Cup, is back in action across the two days, plus there’s open wheel competition from the National Formula Ford Championship.

Sunday’s action will include the Zeo Prototype Series, which, a week after Le Mans, will bring a flavour of La Sarthe to the East Midlands with a grid of rapid cars up to LMP3 level set to do battle, while a range of saloons and sports cars will entertain in the ClubSport Trophy.

Action on both days is brought to a conclusion by endurance contests; a two-hour contest for the BRSCC SuperSport Endurance Championship for sports and saloons across numerous classes will end proceedings on Sunday, and a three-hour epic for the Silverlake C1 Endurance Series for diminutive Citroen C1s follows on Sunday.

Tickets are available in advance priced at £15 per day for adults, with savings for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry for children. Tickets are available in advance until 4pm on Friday 16 June, after which they’ll be available upon arrival at gate prices. For more information and to book, click here.
