LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha’s Ryan Vickers set the fastest time in the final free practice session for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park on Saturday morning.
Heading into qualifying, the top-three were separated by the smallest of margins, with Vickers just 0.025s clear of yesterday’s pace-setter, teammate Kyle Ryde, with ROKiT Racing BMW’s Leon Haslam just 0.009s further back in third.
MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing’s Charlie Nesbitt was fourth quickest, 0.034s ahead of McAMS Yamaha’s Jason O’Halloran, who was just under three tenths of a second clear of BeerMonster Ducati duo Tommy Bridewell and championship leader Glenn Irwin.
Storm Stacey put his Starline Racing Kawasaki inside the top-10, half a tenth clear of Peter Hickman’s FHO Racing BMW, with Oxford Products Racing Ducati’s Christian Iddon completing the top-10.
The Bennetts BSB field head into qualifying at 11.40, before the first race of the weekend at 16.30.
