A number of the Super Tourers that powered the BTCC to mainstream acclaim in the 1990s will return to racing action at Donington Park on Easter Saturday (30 March), as part of a packed programme of classic touring car action. Multiple races from these crowd favourites are in store, at a venue that’s provided numerous tin top highlights across the years. With an open paddock, fans will be able to take a closer look at these fabulous machines, from a time when F1 teams and in some cases, drivers, were firmly embedded in the country’s top racing category.

As well as the Super Tourers, there’s plenty of other tin top highlights provided by the Classic Touring Car Racing Club (CTRC), with cars dating back as far as the 1960s across numerous classes.

In addition, more contemporary cars will do battle in the Britcar Trophy, with a mix of sports and saloon racers out to get their season off to the best possible start. The line-up is completed by classic Minis in the Mini Se7en Challenge, and the rapid pocket rockets from the British Superkart Racing Club.

You can make a weekend of it with more racing on the Good Friday, headlined by the British Endurance Championship, with additional classic touring car racing including the Super Tourers.
