The CRMC Classic Motorcycle Festival gets August off to a flying start at Donington Park, with two days of rip-roaring retro bike action this weekend (2/3 August) Tickets are still available on the gate with savings for teenagers aged 13-15, while under-13s go free. Click here for more information.

Hundreds of classic machines spanning six decades will return to racing action, courtesy of the Classic Racing Motorcycle Club (CRMC). Expect dozens of races on each day, as well as parades featuring some especially rare and famous bikes. Click here to view just some of the fabulous examples set to go on show, including former Grand Prix bikes.

Amongst the racing highlights include contests for the ACU Classic Championship, the ACU Post Classic Championship for the Wheatcroft Trophy, and the Lansdowne Classic Series, bringing back the sights and the smells of 1960s British Thoroughbred Grand Prix racing.

Sidecars will also be a key feature, while around the venue there will be huge display areas with hundreds more bikes expected from clubs and individual owners. And don't be surprised if you bump into a star guest or two: legends including Mick Grant, Alex George and reigning Bennetts BSB champion Kyle Ryde are all expected to attend.
