The 2025 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship season commenced at Australia’s Phillip Island circuit last weekend, with Ducati’s Nicolò Bulega stealing a march on his rivals to take an impressive hat trick of victories.

Having stormed to pole position, the Italian repeated his win on debut from last year, and backed that up with further stunning triumphs in Sunday’s Superpole Race and the event finale, putting him clear at the top of the early standings.

Double Champions Álvaro Bautista and Toprak Razgatlioglu will have to launch fightback bids after Bulega’s statement of intent, with both enduring difficult weekends. Bautista took two podiums punctuated by a run to 19th in the Superpole, while reigning champion Razgatlioglu pushed Bulega hard in race one but failed to score in the remaining contests. But the Turk has often endured tough starts to the season, particularly at Phillip Island, only to immediately knock his rivals off their perches!

Andrea Iannone and Danilo Petrucci also enjoyed podium visits, while fellow Ducati rider Scott Redding emerged as the top Brit in the early standings, returning to form with two fourths and a fifth.

WorldSBK will resume at the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal on 29/30 March, with rounds in the Netherlands, Italy, Czech Republic and Emilia-Romagna to follow before the series heads to Donington Park on 11-13 July for the only UK round.

Discounted tickets are available in advance, with further reductions for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry all weekend for children under-13. Campsite upgrades and grandstand seats are also on sale, as well as VIP hospitality packages and pit walk spaces. For full information and to book tickets, click here.
