The motorsport event season at Donington Park comes to a close this Sunday (30 November), courtesy of the Tegiwa Donington Rally. Tickets are still available in advance, priced at £19 for adults with further savings for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry for children under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
A huge entry of rally cars is expected to end the Donington Park season in style, with a capacity list of 100 machines set to go against the clock. The entry includes no fewer than 23 classic Ford Escorts, and the usual smattering of Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos. There’s huge variety including modern Rally 2 machinery and the odd sports car too, stretching out of their comfort zones! Click here to view the entry list.
The event will encompass more than just the Donington Park circuit, with lots of off-roading through the infield set to be a major feature once more. Drivers will need to balance the challenges of the circuit’s smooth asphalt with the rough gravel of the inner sections of the venue, with spectacular results always a consequence. Look out for handbrake turns, plenty of power slides, and full throttle getaways at the starting areas.
The first action is due to commence at 09.15, with cars taking on a total of six special stages, while the paddock will be open throughout the event, allowing a closer look at the teams and machines between each stage.
Don’t forget to pick up your latest copy of Motorsport News at the venue on Sunday!
Tickets are available in advance until 4pm on Friday (28 November), after which they’ll be available upon arrival at gate prices. For more information and to book, click here.
