A maxed-out 100-car entry is expected for this Sunday’s (30 November) Tegiwa Donington Rally, as the Donington Park motorsport season draws to a spectacular conclusion.
The entry is headed by the Citroen C3 Rally 2 machine of defending champions Michael Igoe and Will Atkins, while their biggest challenge is likely to come from the Skoda Fabia R5 of previous winners John Griffiths and Emma Morrison.
The two crews are currently separated by nine points in the 2025/26 title battle, with the Citroen pairing finishing ahead both times in the rallies held so far at Oulton Park and Cadwell Park in recent weeks.
Aside from the ever-battling top-two, further entries of intrigue include two machines piloted by Donington regulars of a different kind!
British Truck Racing Championship contenders David Jenkins and Martin Gibson are also among the entrants, trading their five-tonne racing trucks for considerably smaller Mitsubishi Evo and BMW 130i machines respectively.
With it being a rally, there’s plenty of traditional favourites on the entry, including no fewer than 23 Ford Escorts, six Subaru Imprezas, and seven further Evos.
Other machines to keep an eye out for include three Vauxhall Chevettes, a pair of Darrians, and even a Lotus Elise. Click here to view the full seeded entry list.
A total of six different stages will decide the outcome of this year’s event, with action starting at 9.15am and set to end in the darkness beyond 5pm. The stages include sections of the Donington Park circuit layout, which will generally be run in reverse, and with plenty of obstacles included such as tyre chicanes and split points.
Each stage will make use of the circuit infield roads, with the gravel surface set to provide an additional challenge – look out for big power slides and plenty of hairy moments, especially as cars head for the narrow Esses tunnel! View the stage plans in the free digital programme.
While the circuit will be a hive of activity throughout the event, each crew will return to the paddock service area between stages as they prepare for the next run, and the paddock will be open throughout, allowing a closer look at the cars and teams.
Tickets are still available at advance rates until 4pm on Friday (28 November), priced at £19 for adults, £12 for teenagers aged 13-15, and free entry all day for children under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
