GB3 Championship reveals provisional 2026 calendar with Red Bull Ring and Barcelona additions

25 September 2025

The GB3 Championship, partnered by the BRDC, has released a new-look calendar for the 2026 season, with events at the Red Bull Ring and the season finale at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya being the headline additions. Both F1 venues are set to host GB3 action for the first time, with the season schedule retaining the customary eight-round, 24-race schedule.

As in 2025, six of the eight events next year will be held at current Formula One venues, as GB3 continues to further enhance its reputation as a prime feeder series to FIA F3 and beyond.

The new campaign will kick off at the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit on 25/26 April, and then commences its early season European tour, with return visits to Spa-Francorchamps (30/31 May) and the Hungaroring on 4/5 July.

Just one week later comes the maiden visit to the Red Bull Ring in Austria, as GB3 heads to one of the most popular venues on the F1 calendar. This scheduling simplifies logistics for teams and personnel, effectively making for one visit deep into Europe as opposed to two separate trips, and minimising costs as a result.

The second visit of the year to Silverstone follows at the start of August, with just over a month’s break before rounds at Donington Park on 5/6 September and at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit for the penultimate rounds on 26/27 September.

The series finale will then take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, a venue with a continuous history of hosting Grands Prix from 1991 onwards. A popular winter testing venue for GB3 teams, the iconic Spanish venue hosts a championship round for the first time on 7/8 November.
