Barwell Motorsport has announced an expansion to three cars for the 2026 British GT Championship season, with Duncan Cameron and Matt Griffin confirmed as the first driver pairing to pilot one of the team’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2s.
2026’s three-car entry for Barwell Motorsport will mark their biggest full-season British GT effort since it operated a trio of Aston Martin DBRS9s back in 2007.
Multiple race winners Cameron and Griffin are one of the most experienced driver partnerships in the history of the series, having first competed together back in 2009. Up until now, the pair have exclusively competed in Ferrari machinery in British GT, with this season marking their first time competing behind the wheel of a Lamborghini.
With 2026 marking the final year of competition for the current Huracan in top-flight GT3 competition, Barwell Motorsport will be hoping for a fitting farewell for the car that has delivered them several wins and championship titles.
Duncan Cameron said: “When we looked at options for this year it made sense to switch, and when the chance to join Barwell Motorsport came up, it was a no-brainer. I’ve yet to experience the Lamborghini Huracan but across the years it’s been a very competitive package at pretty much every track. I know with the support of Matt and the Barwell team I’ll learn quickly and I’m looking forward to a really competitive year ahead.”
Matt Griffin added: “We felt the time was right to make a change for this season in British GT, and when you go looking for a top team you don’t have to search much further than Barwell Motorsport. You only have to look at their record in British GT to know they’re one of, if not the most successful team in the championship’s history, so it should be the perfect environment for Duncan and I.”
Barwell Motorsport’s other two crews will be announced in the coming weeks.
