The East Midlands venue’s ‘biggest’ event of the year is now just days away, as Convoy in the Park brings a packed weekend of truck racing and entertainment on 8/9 August. A supersized festival of all things trucking returns at one of the country’s largest family-friendly truck shows of the year!

Headline on-track action comes from the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC), complemented by a full array of BARC support series, but Convoy in the Park also features a super mix of off-track entertainment for all ages, with a live action arena, sprawling display areas, live music and so much more.

A quintet of BTRC contests are scheduled across the weekend, as the biggest championship in the UK brings a grid of jaw-dropping five-tonne brawlers to the historic racing circuit. Expect plenty of overtakes and edge-of-the-seat action as trucks race at speeds up to 100mph!

2011 champion David Jenkins leads the way at the top of the Division One standings as the Staffordshire racer aims for a second Drivers’ title. But he faces stiff competition from ten-time champion Stuart Oliver, who is hot on his heels just seven points behind. Can Jenkins extend his narrow lead at Donington Park, or will his rivals put the brakes on his hunt for his first title in 15 years?

The Division Two tussle is equally as close as well, with 2025 champion Jake Evans leading the way, following an impressive title-winning debut season. However, last year’s runner-up Callum Eason is just 27 points behind, and with five contests to close the gap across the Convoy weekend, he’ll be sure to be in the fight for class wins.

There’s a fantastic support package too, including further action from the TCR UK Championship, Pickup Truck Racing Championship, Britcar Endurance Championship, MINI CHALLENGE Clubsport, CNC Heads Championship, OT Coupe Cup with Toyo Tires and the Audi Cup.

But Convoy in the Park isn’t just about the racing, with a massive lineup of family fun and entertainment scheduled. The Live Action Arena, with viewing from Redgate corner, will feature truck drifting and the fan-favourite caravan smash, which always delivers a suitably dramatic finale to the weekend! The Pedal v Power stunt show and truck pull and tug-o-war challenges feature too.

Elsewhere, the live music stage on the infield will get the party atmosphere going on both days, while manufacturer displays and a packed Show Truck village will showcase hundreds of giant machines around the venue, with many sporting eye-catching show liveries.

For the younger ones attending, the Kids Zone guarantees family fun with a paid funfair, circus skills, a Mini Land Rover Assault Course, inflatables, face painting, Glitter Art zones, Remote Control (RC) truck displays and giant slot car tracks. Roaming dinosaurs and Transformers will provide further excitement over the weekend.

Finally, Best Wrestling Entertainment will bring family-friendly, professional showdowns to the event with an array of colourful characters taking to the ring on both days.

Tickets for Convoy in the Park are still available in advance, priced at £30 per day for adults, £18 for teenagers aged 13-15 and free entry all weekend for children under-13. For more information and to book, click here.
