Scott Redding set the pace in the opening ZYN British Superbike Championship Free Practice session at Donington Park this morning, in a frantic end to the opening action with positions changing right up until the chequered flag.

Kent had only been fastest for a matter of seconds before Redding moved ahead, launching the Hager PBM Racing Team to the top of the times, he ended the session 0.552s ahead of Kyle Ryde, who posted his fastest time on the final lap of Free Practice 1.

Ryan Vickers was third fastest with a final run, which moved him 0.005s separating him from Kent and the same to Ray, who completed the top five.
