MotoGP race winner Jack Miller will make the switch from Grand Prix racing to the FIM Superbike World Championship for the 2027 and 2028 seasons, joining the Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK team. The move means that Miller will take on the iconic Donington Park circuit for the first time in 2027.

The 31-year-old Australian rider is one of the most experienced figures in the MotoGP paddock, having competed for 12 years in the premier class, earning himself four MotoGP wins, 23 podium finishes and a best overall championship result of fourth in 2021.

After partnering WorldSBK icon Toprak Razgatlioglu in the Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team this season, Miller will now set his sights on title glory in the WorldSBK category with the outfit’s R1 production-based machine. The Australian also boasts a vast knowledge of the Michelin tyre, as WorldSBK switches to the French tyre manufacturer from next season onwards.

Miller said: “I am really excited to announce that I’m heading over to WorldSBK together with Yamaha, extending our partnership together. I have really enjoyed working with the brand these past few years in MotoGP and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to see what we can do on the R1. I have had a small taste of the bike at Suzuka the last couple of years, and while the WorldSBK-spec bike is a bit different I am really looking forward to this next chapter in my career and hopefully we can do something really strong over there.”

Details on tickets for the 2027 FIM Superbike World Championship round at Donington Park will be released later this year.
