Junior drivers aged 11-17 can get behind the wheel of the latest BMW 1 Series this year with YoungDrive! across five MSV circuits. The latest 116d M Sport will be available for children and teenagers to experience at Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton and Bedford Autodrome from late spring, with a planned introduction for the new cars in May.

The latest five-door hatch replaces the existing MINI One with a sporty offering, and will allow young drivers to gain some early experience at the controls of a highly desirable car. And in addition to sampling machinery from a prestige manufacturer, they'll be doing so within the confines of an iconic motorsport venue.

Stylish and compact, the latest 1 Series is one of the most coveted front-wheel-drive production hatchbacks currently available. And with purpose-built dual controls and a qualified instructor alongside, you can rest assured that youngsters will learn to drive in the safest possible environment.

The 116d comes equipped with a traditional manual gearbox, ensuring participants will sample an authentic driving experience, with the possibility of reaching speeds up to 40mph. With at least 35 minutes at the wheel, youngsters will put the BMW's capabilities to the test as they tackle handling tasks, master clutch control and gradually build up speed and confidence.

MSV's highly regarded and long-established YoungDrive! programme will continue to operate with the existing MINI One fleet initially, with switchovers taking place during May at each of the circuits. Existing voucher holders will be contacted directly with more information.

The 1 Series cars will also feature on YoungDrive! Plus - the next step for drivers who have completed the initial YoungDrive! activity, with more driving time, higher speed limits and more complex manoeuvres. YoungDrive! Plus is available at Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Bedford Autodrome.
